Fishing Pond: build, choose a shadow and collect Pals
A Fishing Pond uses a Handiwork Pal to produce catches at your base. Select an available shadow/production option, supply its bait and start the work. Collect caught Pals and items from the container beside the pond; finishing work does not mean you have claimed both results.
The ordinary pond unlocks at level 31, the Large Fishing Pond at 69. Use the structure and pool appropriate to your goal rather than buying a rod for a worker that does not need your manual fishing equipment.

Budget the current building, not an old unlock
| Structure | Technology | Materials | Shadow options |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fishing Pond | 31 | 15 Wooden Boards, 30 Cement, 3 Cryogenic Coolant | Small / medium |
| Large Fishing Pond | 69 | 20 High Quality Wooden Boards, 30 Stone, 10 Coralum Ingots, 20 High Quality Pal Oil | Small / medium / large |
Both records use Handiwork and show one worker slot. Watering is not the work skill just because the structure contains water. Keep a reachable approach to the worker position and collection container when choosing its location.
The Large Pond's 10 Coralum Ingots require 20 Ore and 50 Coal through the ingot recipe. Prepare the ingot budget before starting the building project.
Start a run and claim both result types
- Build the unlocked pond inside your base and open its production panel.
- Choose an available shadow size and check the required bait. Supply the recipe rather than assuming every pool uses the same batch.
- Assign an available Handiwork Pal, start production and confirm the worker reaches the station and progress begins.
- Return to the side container after the run. Inspect the item results and the caught-Pal collection option; claim both.
- If the interface says to collect the Pal before continuing, finish that collection before trying to queue another run. Check Pal storage capacity if claiming it is blocked.
Can the pond give books, Souls or Holy Water?
The ordinary pond's item tables vary by region and include Technical Manuals and Pal Souls. Grass, volcano and snow pools are separate records; a book listed somewhere in the database is not a guaranteed book from every production option. Select your intended pool, collect several completed results and judge whether it is useful for that resource.
v1.0.3 added World Tree Holy Water to Large Fishing Pond rewards. That update supports using it as a possible source; it does not establish a fixed bottle quantity or an hourly farm. This guide does not promise all handbooks or every rare fishing reward from an ordinary pond.
Choose manual spot fishing when you need a particular region's catch pool or want to control the minigame yourself. Choose pond production when passive base work fits the task.
An idle pond: check the stage that stopped
- Production will not start
- Check selected option, bait, unlocked structure and assigned Handiwork worker. Inspect the panel's current requirement rather than copying a different shadow recipe.
- A worker is assigned but no progress appears
- Check availability and access. Food, rest and other tasks can interrupt base work; assigning Watering alone will not satisfy Handiwork.
- Finished work but the next run is blocked
- Open the side container and collect the caught Pal as well as the items. Check remaining bait and storage capacity.
Older guides quote a fixed run time. Work conditions and settings matter, so use your actual production progress and completed result as the success check instead of a universal 15-minute promise.
