Water salvage

Get Coralum Ore: salvage route, drops and ingot budget

v1.0.5 data · 1.0 creator route · checked October 8, 2026

The short answer

For a repeatable active Coralum run, use Powerful Fishing Magnets on advanced, gold-banded salvage spots around the Feybreak coast. Bring a fishing rod, swimming mount, free inventory space and Jellroy in your party for its salvage-item effect.

Whalaska and Whalaska Ignis drops are another source. Ordinary fishing and salvage are separate activities: choose the corresponding Pal bonus and reward source rather than assuming every water interaction works the same way.

Prepare a short Feybreak coast run

  1. Make a batch of Powerful Fishing Magnets and put them in your inventory. Equip a rod and bring a mount that lets you perform the water salvage interaction.
  2. Add Jellroy to the party. Its bonus is for salvaging; Jelliette is the corresponding fishing Pal.
  3. Travel along the sea near Feybreak and look for gold-banded floating barrels. Pick the node type before spending a magnet.
  4. Stop at the node and complete the displayed salvage timing. Move along the coast to another suitable node rather than waiting at one empty location.
  5. Return with the ore before your load becomes awkward. Count ore gained and magnets spent so you can plan the next trip.

This is a practical starting route from the linked 1.0 guides, not a fixed coordinate circuit or a measured “fastest” claim. The advanced reward record has a base Coralum quantity of 6–11; Pal bonuses and settings can change the amount you actually see.

Choose drops or fishing if salvage is unavailable

Current item data lists 2–3 Coralum Ore from Whalaska or Whalaska Ignis and 10 from Neptilius as base drops. Compare the encounter you can already handle with the cost of preparing a sea run; a high-level boss is not automatically the cheapest solution to a small crafting shortfall.

ConCon’s 1.0 video compares salvage with a Whalaska breeding method. Breeding adds its own supply, hatching and processing setup, so the sea route is the simpler starting point if you already have the equipment. Ordinary fishing also has Coralum rewards, but it uses its own regional pools and Jelliette rather than Jellroy.

Budget ore, Coal and weight separately

The Coralum Ingot recipe unlocks at technology level 62 and uses 2 Coralum Ore and 5 Coal per ingot. For 20 ingots, reserve 40 ore and 100 Coal. Having the ore alone does not finish the recipe.

Coralum Ore weighs 3 each before carrying bonuses: those 40 ore add 120 weight. Clear space before leaving and plan a return trip around your actual load. Save a small ore reserve for recipes that require the raw item; refining every ore into ingots can create a different shortage.

The current acquisition records support sea rewards and Pal drops. Do not apply a Chromite mining route to Coralum merely because both are late-game materials.
