Craft Powerful Fishing Magnets: unlock, recipe and batches
Powerful Fishing Magnet unlocks at technology level 62. One recipe makes 10 magnets from 1 Hexolite, 1 Cryogenic Coolant and 1 Bio Battery. PalDB lists Production Assembly Line II, Advanced Workshop and Ancient Workbench as compatible production facilities.
The magnets are consumables for advanced salvage. Crafting them does not replace the fishing rod, water mount or the correct barrel interaction.

Check the unlock and compatible facility
- Reach the required technology level and unlock Powerful Fishing Magnet. Use the exact item name; the basic Fishing Magnet is different equipment.
- Open Production Assembly Line II, Advanced Workshop or Ancient Workbench and locate the magnet recipe.
- Check that Hexolite, Cryogenic Coolant and Bio Battery are available to the facility. A similarly named cooler or ordinary battery is not the listed ingredient.
- Queue the recipe, let a suitable worker complete production and collect the finished magnets.
- Count the collected items before traveling: one completed recipe should supply a batch of ten under the listed recipe.
A facility accepting the recipe and a salvage spot accepting the tool are separate checks. If production is idle, resolve its worker or facility requirements before investigating the sea node.
Plan supplies in groups of ten
| Target magnets | Recipe batches | Each ingredient |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1 | 1 Hexolite + 1 Coolant + 1 Bio Battery |
| 30 | 3 | 3 of each |
| 100 | 10 | 10 of each |
For a target between multiples of ten, round up the number of recipes. Wanting 25 magnets means three batches, producing 30 and leaving five spare. These counts describe crafting output, not a guarantee of 30 rewards or a particular amount of ore.
Put the batch into a usable salvage setup
Carry the magnets in your inventory, equip a fishing rod and approach a gold-banded barrel on a swimming mount. Start the displayed salvage action and complete its timing. The magnet does not need to replace the rod in your weapon slot.
For ordinary metal-banded debris, follow the basic route in the salvage tool comparison. For an advanced run aimed at materials, use the Coralum coast checklist. Free inventory space first; crafting more magnets does not solve reward overflow.
If you cannot craft or use it
- The recipe is absent
- Check technology unlock, exact item name and facility compatibility.
- The recipe appears but stays idle
- Check its worker, ingredient access and the facility’s operating requirements.
- The sea node will not start
- Check the barrel bands, magnet inventory, equipped rod and mount separately.
- A run did not give the wanted material
- Check the node’s reward tier. A consumable unlocks an attempt; it does not select a rare reward for you.
